History

2006

The idea for CCE started as a series of informal conversations among coach trainers initiated by Roger Erdvig and Mary Verstraete. As they talked, they recognized the importance of coaching being a viable and well-established profession.

That dialog led to a partnership between Roger Erdvig and Mary Verstraete which resulted in the official formation of CCE in early 2007.

2007 - 2008

Essential Coach Training was authored by Mary Verstraete and Roger Erdvig.

First coaching training took place in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in May 2007. 

Mary authored Professional Coach Training 1 (PCT1) and Professional Coach Training 2 (PCT2).

Establishing Your Personal Coach Brand was co-authored by Jerome Daley and Mary Verstraete.

2009

In the summer of 2009, Roger stepped down as president to spend more time with his family and Mary stepped in to lead the next phase of development for CCE.

As the new CEO, Mary assembled a Vision and Strategic Team which accelerated the growth of CCE into new services and markets. Joe Denner, Jerome Daley, Rick Raiford, and Annie-Perdue Olson make up the tremendous CCE leadership team.

StrengthsFinder Coaching Conversations training was authored by Mary Verstraete.

CCE core training completed: Essential Coach Training, PCT1, PCT2, Establishing Your Personal Coaching Brand, StrengthsFinder Conversations, and Ethics.

2010

CCE partnered with MJ Senior Housing of Fremont, Nebraska to develop Senior Conversations, a customized training for senior housing sales. Taught my MaryLynne Bolden and Jason Lange, CCE trainers and experienced senior housing community specialists.

2011

CCE partnered with Omega Alliance, Inc. of Houston, Texas to develop Conversational Safety Leadership, a coaching approach to safety. Currently used by ExxonMobile in Lagos, Nigeria and taught by Mary Verstraete in conjuction with safety training, taught by Darrel Caldwell, Ph.D., Safety Executive.

Conversational Leadership, a training for enhancing leadership conversations was completed.

The vision for CCE continues to widen, but our moorings remain solidly planted in our values which you can access from the link on your left.
