Essential Training

Mastering the Fundamentals of Coaching

At the Center for Coaching Excellence, you can build a coach training experience to suit your individual career goals—whether you are a business professional and looking to apply new communication skills within your current role, or you want to become a full- or part-time coach.

If pursuing the International Coach Federation (ICF) designation as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) is on your horizon, Essential Training is your first building block toward certification. Complete information is found on the CCE Certification page or you can request a free consultation.

 Training Overview

Our mentor coach training approach limits classes to ten participants and allows us to invest in every person through individualized guidance in their personal and professional development, coaching style, and coaching mastery.

Training Approach

We enhance coach training with a combination of in-person and virtual classroom training. Essential Training workshops provide an invaluable experience of observation, coaching demonstrations, group interaction, collaborative peer exercises, and dialogue that increases comprehension, application, and synthesis. This enriches the virtual classroom interaction and learning experience that follows the workshop.

During Essential Training, you will have the opportunity to engage in weekly peer coaching, independent reading, and gain experience in coaching a client.

Training Logistics

We offer Essential Training workshops throughout the US. However, when flight travel occurs for participants, we have priced our training to help cover the cost of US travel expenses.

Tuition covers:

  • Training manual and all textbooks

  • Meals during Workshop hours

  • 10 hours of ICF required mentor coaching for the first level of ICF certification for training Options 1 and 2 [see Certification Page]
