Matt spent 30+ years in the engineering consulting industry, serving in a wide variety of leadership roles from technical to managerial to executive. The last 16 years were spent as the CEO of Fehr & Peers where Matt was responsible for all aspects of the firm’s growth and performance. His focus was on leadership development, strategic growth initiatives, operations, finance, and human resources. During his tenure, Fehr & Peers tripled in size and expanded nationally to include 330 staff in 15 offices across the U.S.
Matt has been providing management consulting and executive coaching services to leaders in various organizations in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors for 12+ years. Matt serves as a strategic advisor and executive coach on the full range of organizational issues including growth and strategy, leadership development and succession, and operational excellence. He has developed specialized expertise in leadership succession and ownership transition
Matt is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation and is certified to administer the Hogan Assessments on talent acquisition and development.
Matt also had the full-circle experience of leadership and ownership transition – that is being part of the group that bought out the founders of the business, and then 20+ years later, transition leadership and ownership of the firm to the third-generation leaders.
