Matt spent 33 years in the engineering consulting industry, serving in a wide variety of leadership roles from technical to managerial to executive. The last 16 were spent as the CEO of Fehr & Peers where Matt was responsible for all aspects of the firm’s growth and performance. His focus was on leadership development, strategic growth initiatives, operations, finance, and human resources. During his tenure, Fehr & Peers expanded nationally to include 15 offices across the US and roughly tripled in size.

In 2013, Matt began providing management consulting and executive coaching services to leaders in the engineering industry via Left Lane Advisors. Matt now supports Left Lane Advisors’ clients as an Affiliate where he continues to serve as a strategic advisor and executive coach on the full range of organizational issues including leadership development and succession, ownership transition, strategic planning, and operational excellence.  In 2020, Matt extended his executive coaching services to leaders in other industries, with a primary focus on leadership succession and transition.

Matt is an Associated Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation and is certified to administer the Hogan Assessments on talent acquisition and development.
